I came from Australia and drove two and a half hours to give the owner some items from the pub back in 77 when I lived here as a kid. The guy behind the counter could not have been less intereated and was crazy rude. I asked if he could maybe ring the owner to see when they would be here as I would wait. He returned saying nah not coming here today. With that I just said thank you and kept my fathers items I was going to give them. To be honest I got back in my car and was really upset as these items i found when my father passed away and I thought it would be nice to give them to the current

Decent local pub where we were made to feel welcome. Aimed at ex service personnel, particularly Royal Marines but a decent atmosphere. It was handy to pop in for a couple on the way back to our accommodation.

told this place does excellent food and the breakfast is top notch THE BREAKFAST WAS BANGIN! EVERYTHING COOKED SUPERBLY flavours an textures an so moreish the bubble an squeak was the best i had TEN out of TEN we will be back soon
