We’ve been a few times but felt needed to write a review. Highly recommend the food here. Home cooked, huge portions, well presented and delicious! Always served quick with a smile and some friendly banter. Table service for drinks while you eat so you don’t need to get up. To top it off some well selected 80s bangers were in the sound system. We’ll be back for sure.

Had a absolutely lovely meal at the Brittania. We are on a mission to find the best Sunday lunches in Yorkshire and this was a hidden gem. The standout was definately the Lamb Shank. One of the best we have had. This place has quickly gone into our top 3 sunday lunches. Price was very good and staff were very friendly.

Lovely meal but none of us ate very much of the vegetables that came with the meal. It was mainly swede which tasted quite strong and a few green beans, literally 4 pieces of carrots and 3 little pieces of cabbage. My partner and his god mother had the beans I had the pieces of carrots and picked the 3 pieces of cabbage out. Luckily we ordered cauliflower cheese and some mashed carrots and swede otherwise I would of practically had no vegetables. Starters where lovely and the meal was lovely just a pity the choice of vegetables that came with the meal wasn't so good

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at The Britannia. The food was fantastic — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared — but what truly made the visit exceptional was the outstanding service from Holly. Holly was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we arrived. She struck the perfect balance between being friendly and professional, and her attention to detail made the entire meal feel special. She checked in at just the right times, offered great recommendations, and made sure everything was perfect throughout. It’s rare to find service this thoughtful and sincere
