Sunday evening (01/03/26) we visited Pizza Express intending to dine in, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. We stood at the entrance beneath the sign that clearly says “Please wait to be seated” — and that’s exactly what we did… for 10 minutes. There were only four tables occupied in the entire restaurant and two members of staff on shift. One young staff member was clearly very busy handling demanding delivery drivers, which was understandable. We had a really lovely experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was quick, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. A special thank you to Dorina and Susana, who were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our visit. Today our food was a mix - I loved my burnt ends pizza but my wife’s pasta was dry and stale. Our waiter was so lovely though- thanks Ian! You were well presented, friendly, helpful and willing to take the disappointing pasta off the bill for us. I’ll probably return, not because the food is anything special - it never is - but Ian was :)
