I've been to the Costa on Market Place a few times and always had a good experience. The staff are usually friendly and welcoming, and they make a cracking flat white . The upstairs seating area is a real bonus – it's bright and airy with nice views over the town, and there's plenty of space to sit and chat or even get some work done . The service can be a bit slow when it's busy, but that's true of any coffee shop . The team are always polite and doing their best, and the place is generally clean and tidy . They've also got a good selection of cakes and gluten-free options, which is handy .

Just went into buy a drink .I asked a male staff for the toilet codes very rude With a comment with a instant no then walked away. I then asked one of the ladies and told me I didn't need a code . Great answers and polite responses from the women ..

Visited on a wet sunday afternoon, even though it was busy we found seats straight away. There was a queue when arrived, that went relatively quick. Staff were friendly and top of cleaning the tables. Think the prices have gone a bit steep, but where hasn't in 2025! I had a caramel latte, didnt taste the caramel at all.
