Came to Marmadukes on Norfolk Row for breakfast and ordered the seasonal French toast. The staff were fine and the atmosphere is actually okay — nothing wrong with the service. But the food was the problem: the French toast and bread was very underwhelming (about 3.5/10), and for the price it felt genuinely not worth it. Overall it’s average-to-poor breakfast quality with London-level pricing. Disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t return for the food.

I had the polenta hash with shakshuka and a poached egg. Plenty of flavour but felt a bit inconsistent or clashing. Lovely service and cosy atmosphere. Gender neutral bathrooms.

Cafe/ restaurant serving wholesome food, went for breakfast, I had a sausage sandwich, my wife eggs benedict, and coffee. The coffee was excellent, well worth a visit for coffee alone Thought the prices were a tad expensive, but so far it was the best breakfast we have found during our vacation in Sheffield
