I popped in whilst visiting the city. The service? Terribly good. The food? So awfully tasty I had to clear the plate. The atmosphere? Appallingly enjoyable. It was such a struggle to leave the place I had to leave a five star review. 👌 To be serious. The pub is in a great location, near to both the bus station and railway station - walking distance. They accept CAMRA vouchers. Monday is Cask club. Food is extremely well priced and very enjoyable. The selection of beers is superb. It's also in an amazing building, which I am deliberately not putting photos up. Go experience it!!

Food was awful. They advertise a wonderful picture of a Sunday dinner which was the reason I went down but it was disgusting. I left without eating it. Pictures below. Frozen yorkie, tinned carrots, roasties were not roasted and had the skin on. The beef was rock solid. The stuffing was a piece from frozen. The gravy boat came with a skin on it. It was all cold ad not sure how as it took 45 mins to come and we were thr 2nd table in there eating.

Long time since my last visit but the history gets me every time , this ancient coaching house pub dwarved by the Contemporary but soulless glass and steel monstrosity is a sight to experience a foot in both ancient and modern and the beers good as are the lovely staff a lovely Sheffield Welcome

What a gorgeous place the Old Queen's Head in Sheffield is! It's a Grade II listed building and you can tell straight away from that stunning black and white Tudor architecture. The place is so old it's apparently haunted, which just adds to the atmosphere! We spent a lovely afternoon soaking up the sun in the courtyard outside. We were sipping on a delicious kiwi Old Mout cider and just admiring the building's character. There are even gargoyle type carvings outside! The beautiful lady on the bar was so welcoming and friendly too, which always makes a visit even better. We didn't get a cha
