We came here for lunch on a Thursday, and the restaurant wasn't full. However, even though we had made a reservation via Google, we still had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. The staff seemed incredibly busy—I could only see two people serving the entire restaurant during the lunch rush. Once we were seated, it was comfortable and the staff came over promptly to take our order. 🍜 Origin Tonkotsu Ramen: The noodles were excellent and felt really authentic. However, the broth was disappointing. It didn't taste like it had been simmered properly; instead, it tasted a bit like a powdered soup ba

Since it was my first time trying ramen, I’m not giving it full marks. We had the Japanese-style chicken one; the flavor was good and the umami was nice. We asked for advice on the noodle choice, but I think I would have been happier if I’d chosen the thin noodles instead of the medium ones. The place is nice, and the waitstaff were kind.

We really love eating in Shoryu. They really serve tasty ramen, with noodles perfect as how we asked it cooked. The ramen also comes hot and nice. The wait was not long. Kotteri Hakata Tonkatsu Ramen is our favourite. The side dishes we ordered, pork bun and takoyaki, all came fresh and warm—all delicious. Yuzu chocolate cheesecake is also a favourite among the desserts. Also, staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall, a very good dining experience.

Walked past and were intrigued to why so many people queuing outside to get a table. Very popular with the uni students. Everyone around us were ordering the katsu curry but we had ramen and bao buns and karage chicken. Food was good but have had better else where so if your passing it’s worth a try for your first ramen.
