While my wife was off exploring the high-end thrift boutiques nearby, I settled in for what I thought would be a quick drink but Dan turned it into a highlight of the day. He struck up a genuine conversation right away, easygoing and engaging without ever feeling forced. We ended up sampling a couple of excellent pints, each one thoughtfully suggested based on what I liked.
