Cool space! Coffee was okay but the baked goods were fantastic. Got some chocolate cake with bits of biscoff cookie in it. Wish I went again to try some of their other things (but I guess that's a reason to go back)

(12/28/25) scrumptious carrot cake !!! moist, not too sweet, decent size and fairly priced (£4.50 to go). quite a nice place too, i might dine in next time since i've gravitated towards brick lane more and more these last few months

Kahaila at 135 Brick Lane, London E1 6SB, is highly praised as an excellent coffee shop and community space. It is known for its cozy and welcoming atmosphere with a warm and artsy interior that features natural daylight from skylights, wooden floors, and a mix of comfortable furniture. The cafe serves high-quality coffee, including options with almond, oat, or coconut milk, and offers delicious food such as sandwiches, vegan options, and a variety of sweet treats like cakes and brownies. Many reviewers highlight friendly and helpful staff, reasonable prices, and a relaxing environment ideal f

A friend recommended this place, so I came to check it out. Lovely spot, and I really respect that it’s run by a charity, that’s not an easy thing to keep going, and it shows in the warmth of the place. I’d read it was laptop-friendly when it’s not too busy, and I saw another customer working on hers, so I assumed it was fine to do the same. A little later I was asked not to use mine. That’s completely okay, every café sets its own rules, but I’d have appreciated being treated consistently with other guests.
