St Albans is a great spot for tasty food at a reasonable price, with plenty of different options to choose from. I highly recommend the burgers and the hash brown bites, although they also offer some really good breakfast dishes and other meals. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available and you can visit without a booking, which is convenient. The staff are very friendly and kind, and the place is also dog friendly which is a nice bonus. We ordered a few things, and it was mostly all great. The scrambled egg on toast was great. The banana bread was 15/10 fantastic. But the vegan blt was disappointing. It was a small portion for £10. And also it was about 50% mayonnaise, I’ve never seen that much mayo on a product. I ate bacon but left the rest. The woman who served us was delightful.

It’s been a long time since I ate at place that embodied pretty everything a restaurant should have- good flavoursome food, no cutting corners, great friendly service, we are talking about you London, and atmosphere was wonderful and welcoming. Also worth saying the price points are also great. I look forward to a second visit.

Lovely brunch spot! The cafe was extremely busy and fantastically managed, We were seated and served quickly. The food was brilliant also, eggs were runny, high quality ingredients and everything is priced reasonably. A slight mix up with our order but the staff were very helpful and got the correct dish to us within a couple of minutes. Even gave us a couple of brownies for free because of the mix up, which we are very appreciative of. Overall a great lunch spot and I’d highly recommend visiting:)
