Visited here this evening for the first time in ages, as we were out for a family member's birthday. We were left very impressed by both the quality of the food, as well as the portion sizes, especially at such a good price. 5 mains and drinks (plus 2 shared starters) for less than £100 isn't exactly very common nowadays. Staff were also very welcoming and friendly, and were very helpful throughout our visit. I'll definitely be looking to come back again in the future!

Happy hour at Roma A lovely little Italian with friendly staff and good portion sizes. I got the bruschetta then the penne boscalio (bacon, onions, olives and mushrooms). Very flavorful, their happy hour is 2 courses £14.95 until 5.30pm, you can pay a supplement for chicken dishes. We also had the meatballs starter, and the pasta siciliana (chicken, chilli, garlic, cream and roast peppers), and then finished off with a tiramisu. The bill was £50 including 2 beers and a soft drink. Would recommend and will return, fancy trying their chicken dishes🫶

Had an absolutely lovely experience here while away on a training course. We enjoyed a beautiful candle lit dinner in the evening, and the atmosphere was surprisingly romantic and relaxing. Warm lighting, calm music, and a really inviting vibe. It felt like the perfect place to unwind after a long day. The setting made the evening feel special, even though it was just a dinner with my work colleague. The food was pretty good and well presented, and the service was friendly and attentive. Overall, everything about the ambiance was thoughtfully done and created a cosy, intimate feel. A really me

Searched around Sunderland for a good Italian which is where reviews come in, settled on 2 venues which received positive reviews so we tried to book, and after a couple of calls, found Roma who could easily accommodate our party of 4,only thing is the place closes at 8.30 so get yourself booked in early enough as they probably stop cooking at a certain time,.anyway shown to our table where the staff member gave us our menus, there was loads to choose from, with a varied range of starters and mains which were laid out on the menu to choose from, took me ages to eventually choose a starter a
