Myself and Clare went to Bar and Block Sutton on a Tuesday afternoon in the pre-Christmas week. We were 1 of 3 parties there. Service was very good, however, the cleanliness was a little lacking. Clare had to ask for the table to be wiped down and the table to our left had not been cleaned at all. The service was good was drinks arriving quickly. I had a Pornstar Martini which came with a slice of lemon instead of passion fruit. I also had their Bublé tini. The food was was very nice and a good serving size. Came here for Mother’s Day with my partner and son. We both got a chicken roast which was absolutely horrible, The chicken was dry, tough & tasted like it was frozen..The gravy was thinner than water, The carrots and parsnips were grilled but was burnt and horrible. The Mac & cheese I would not even got that Mac and cheese that was stuck to the pot and also tasted horrible. The amount my partner paid was a waste of money. We ended up leaving hungry and got food else where. We will not be returning here and I most certainly do not recommend this restaurant either. Yes some of the reviews say

A real mixed bag after reading the reviews my wife booked for father's day. To be fair the service was very good we had a waitress called jess that made sure we were looked after with drinks. Average wait for the starters and mains. This is when it went downhill for me the kids meals were fine to be fair but the mains which were sirloin roast were awful. It's a real shame as not really much excuse as the restaurant was very quiet 15 odd people in. The meat was grey and very overcooked like chewing on and and leather leather boot. We both sent our food back and had it removed from the bill. A

Went there for our anniversary, the staff were great food didn’t take too long. We had a filler steak and a ribeye steak with drinks and dessert bill came to £100 even. Would recommend. The cheese cake was out of this world
