Gail the landlord is great fun and always makes everyone feel welcome – you can tell she genuinely cares about the place and the people in it. The food is consistently spot on, and Emma is without a doubt the best barmaid around – friendly, quick, and always up for a laugh. Had a disappointing experience regarding a table booking. Due to a mistake on my part with timings, my table that had been reserved was given away. They said they had tried to call me however I had no calls from them in my call log. I accept that I made a mistake of selecting a booking earlier than what I needed and forgot to check the time I needed to secure the table, however my complaint comes from the manner of the response we received when telling a member of the bar staff.
