I visited this cafe yesterday with my family, the staff were polite, and food was served quickly. I order my food and drinks and was given two glasses to drink our drinks from, we poured our drinks and when we went to drink them it smelt like wet dog, now I can appreciate that the pot wash or someone had not done their job properly, so I just said to the young lad my glass smells, I did not make a fuss or was not asking for my money back, just wanted him to acknowledge the smell, to which he replied it’s the orange juice, it clearly wasn’t cause I was drinking the orange juice out the bottle.

I visited Well Lane Café and placed my order with the lady at the desk in a polite and courteous manner after all manners cost nothing. One hot sandwich and one tea to take out. I paid and sat down at one of the empty tables and waited for it to arrive. I waited and I waited and after twenty minutes plus went to the desk to enquire about the delay. As I approached the same lady thrust a package into my hands and said "here's your food and your teas over there" pointing to the area where the cutlery etc is kept. The tea lidless had obviously been there for some time. Not wishing to make a fuss

Well Lane Cafe had plenty of parking and seating. The tables and chairs were clean and well spaced. It was busy and service was prompt and cheerful. I stopped off for brunch and the food was delicious and hot. There were some good alternatives to breakfast items such as jacket potatoes and puddings too which sounded very good like salted caramel sticky toffee pudding 😍 A good mix of clientele from teens to pensioners and everyone seemed to be enjoying their food and drinks. I definitely recommend a visit.
