Excellent Sunday lunch at the Cowper Arms. Very generous plates of fresh "home cooked" food, really liked the proper servings of vegetables. (Good to know: they offer a "modest" option for the smaller appetite, still generous!). Desserts were delicious. Friendly, efficient service and very reasonable prices. Only thing I would request is to serve the gravy in a jug so you can add what you want, rather than have it already on the plate. Will definitely eat here again!

Absolutely delicious veggie roast lunch. The "nut roast" was succulent and accompanied by a light yorkshire, crisp and fluffy roast spuds plus a great selection of vegetables. For once, I did not feel like the veggie option was an afterthought. Highly recommended.

Had the small sharing plates, it was really well presented and all the different bits were delicious. Shared between two and it was plenty! Staff were friendly and helpful. Kitchen had a lot of orders coming but all the food was really good. Drinks were good also

Typical pub food with poor descriptions. I ordered a sweet chilli stir fry which was mainly made up of some type of noodles. No mention of that in the description!! My wife ordered chicken on the specials with no mention of covered in breadcrumbs. Chicken was dry, fried in beadcrumbs and chips were just about cooked. So all in all not a good experience so wont be returning for food. Service was OK though and a pleasant enough pub for a drink.
