Gemma Ruffle★★★★Lovely fish and chips, kebab, freshly cooked to order. No one else was eating in the restaurant apart from us so very quiet but door was open which made it a little chilly. Others came in to order takeaway. Staff were polite and helpful and checked on us when we had finished eating. Good value for money.
Peter A★★★I was really disappointed with the meal. The fish portion was tiny, the tail end and at its thickest, it was no larger than a thumbnail. The batter was overly greasy, but the chips where good. The chicken strips were clearly frozen, not freshly prepared and battered and very dry. Overall, the portion size and quality didn’t match expectations, especially for the price.
The Robinsons★★★★The GF fish and chips was very good. (Like, truly delicious.) Portions are large. It took a tad long to get, however, I say that without complaint. The dedicated GF fryer can only handle so many orders at once and when we arrived, two sets of people in front also ordered GF. If you need GF it is WELL worth the wait! Was told the toilet facilities were stopped up but I got the impression they just didn’t want people using it (no signage) so had to walk across the square to the shopping mall area. Only a handful of tables available so perhaps you’d be more comfortable with takeaway and heading
Christopher Mervyn Cherrett★★★★★Finding somewhere for gluten free food is always a struggle but we are so glad we found this place it’s a hidden gem! Gluten free Cod and Chips was crispy and not greasy, and my partner loved the gluten free curry sauce! Likewise my scampi & chicken strips were juicy and crispy. The staff were so welcoming and it was just a lovely vibe there, had moments where it was very busy but with service like this it was to be expected, will definitely return again!
