Pizza Express is one of my go-to spots when eating out in Wilmslow. It’s located on Alderley Edge in the town centre. I’ve visited here a couple of times now, including twice this month, and had a good experience on both occasions. While the restaurant was well maintained, I do think the interior was slightly dated and could do with a refurb to match the new Pizza Express look and feel. At the minute, my go-to Pizza Express order is a Gluten-Free Pollo Ad Astra, with a portion of gluten-free dough balls. Possibly the worst pizza express ive been too. Couldn't book at the time for us because it was full, but when we arrived it was empty. This place hasnt seen full since 2017. Poor service from the manager who was shocked we wanted to move our table of 6 out of the middle and into on of the empty unbooked booths. We ordered our food, which included a gluten free pizza. We ordered olives, macaroni cheese, dough balls all as starters. They were all excellent although the mac cheese lacked any strong flavour. Really enjoyed our family meal here tonight. It was very busy when we arrived, but we weren't kept waiting very long. The food and drinks were lovely, the feed 4 for £50 was great value. Lily was a fantastic host, very friendly and helpful. We would recommend and come again.
