I visited the Wilmslow Waitrose at around 12:30 on 24th April while picking up supplies for a friend who has just been through a difficult birth, including a bottle of champagne. Unfortunately, the experience at the self-checkout was very disappointing due to the behaviour of a staff member named Helen. I was wearing glasses while using the machine and asked for help removing a security tag. Instead of assisting in a polite or helpful manner, she was abrupt and dismissive. I had an issue with a gift purchased at Waitrose but actually a John Lewis item, after a frustrating period deciding who could help between the two as it was a gift from my Australian son who paid on his card so not just a case of a simple refund….. I struck lucky with a very helpful person from Waitrose called Aphelele Who took ownership of my problem and got it resolved to my satisfaction… a shout out in today’s world and a huge thank you well done Waitrose you have a great staff member in Aphelele. Not somewhere i go regularly but I do go to stock up on things I can't get anywhere else such as frozen pain au raisin and tarte Normand. Brilliant to have in the freezer for unexpected guests. Plenty of free parking for up to 2 hours always difficult to get in Wilmslow
