Spent £30 on tomato slop. Not even a proper curry. Samosa was frozen microwave stuff. Meat kebab was well dodgy & red. Couldn't eat it. Avoid!!@

Being a Southerner and now retired the last time I ate at the Dilshad must be at least 20 years ago. For me it was a memorable experience and my introduction to Chicken Pathia which subsequently became my dish of choice. The Dilshad and its chicken pathia set the bar by which I have measured all other restuarants since. Its sweet and sour taste, not overly hot and full flavour is a delight and is still as good as I remembered. I ate early on a Sunday evening along with maybe a dozen other diners in a relaxed atmosphere. Startered with a couple of poppadoms and chutneys followed by the chicken

Old style "Indian restaurant " it delivers, just. White cotton table cloth, simple ambience and comfortable. The signals are it is of the old and original Indian aka Bengali formula, it will either survive or it will have to reinvent itself. I wish them well.

Best mix grill I’ve ever had. Great service. I think our server was named Syed? He was brilliant, will definitely be having another mix grill from here very soon
