Rang Dong is the ideal place when you have a taste for an Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine Restaurant. Very friendly and genuine people here. Highly recommended! Ask for Alvin.

We were craving for vietnamese food, so we stopped by Rang Dong. I believe this place used to be in Oakland Chinatown. This restaurant is operated by a nice Vietnamese family. It was very clean and welcoming. The banh mi and fresh rolls were delicious. However, they did not use real beef broth for their pho noodle soups. You could tell that they used beef powder for their pho. I remember many years ago, they used to boil beef bones and make real pho broth.

I’ve had a few meals here and think it’s a decently priced place with tasty food. The shop owners are also really friendly. I recommend the banh mis as they are flavorful and good value! The last time I went my friend and I had the speciality soups which honestly were just okay. Nice and warming but the flavors weren’t as punchy as we thought they should be. I’ll be back for banh mis and to try the pho. Good place to grab a snack or get some warm soup on a cold or rainy day.

Rang Dong is an awesome spot if you're looking for affordable grub! One dish you absolutely have to try is their Bo Kho, it is incredibly yummy. This beef stew is packed with flavor, thanks to a slow-cooked broth loaded with spices like cinnamon, star anise, and lemongrass. It’s rich, savory, and just the right amount of spicy. The beef is super tender, practically melting in your mouth, and the broth is so fragrant it’ll have you hooked from the first bite. They serve it with either warm baguette slices or noodles ( had mine with noodles ), making it the perfect hearty meal. You can tell they
