I didn’t write a negative review that first time because I knew the place had great potential. I am so glad I gave it a second chance. Great food with attentive but not overbearing service. The atmosphere is on the upscale side but not stuffy. Not too pricey either.

I ordered it medium with a light, flaky Maillard crisp, and the chef nailed it. The dish is incredibly well-balanced: quinoa, perfectly cooked artichoke hearts with the spiny bits thoughtfully removed, fresh greens, and a light but flavorful lemon-butter sauce. If you’re a salmon lover like me, Wellington’s should be an Albany must-visit. A+
