I recently visited Sonoma Cellar and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing overall. We were seated on the patio, but service got off to a rough start. We were completely overlooked and had to go up to the bar ourselves to ask for menus and water. The food itself was decent. The Hot Artichoke Dip was creamy and served with pita. The Pacific Coast Salmon was well-cooked and paired nicely with mushroom risotto and vegetables. The Cinnamon Ice Cream tasted good. Where things really fell apart was the service and timing. We planned to enjoy dessert at the restaurant and also order take

We came here on a Saturday and don't believe we had a reservation. In Old Town Alexandria so there is some street parking and garages around. We ended up sitting outside in a cute courtyard but service was a little intermittent being outside. I ordered the Apple Cider Mimosa which was delicious age my friend ordered a flight. Wine was pretty good as well. We did end up ordering some food. It was still in the brunch time frame so my friend ordered a BLT breakfast sandwich. I ordered the Pimento Cheese Dip. The BLT was interesting. Cheese dip was good. I think i would come back and try the res

For my wife's birthday, I gathered all our friends here for pre-dinner drinks. The host, Sophia, took great care of us. The wine was delicious and Sophia allowed us to sample a few before committing to some bottles. The vibe of the place was so chill and relaxing. The other customers were also very friendly and joined our little party. I absolutely recommend this place for a low key evening with friends and even for a date. Thank you Sonoma Cellar and Sophia for helping make the day special for the birthday girl.

I'm not sure there is enough space to write about SC. The wine was paired perfectly with the hanger steak. Despite being a small portion for the fig and brie app, the flavor made up for it. We came back for a second night and the short rib pasta was tremendous. Light but flavorful. I'm not sure I could complain about any of it. The best combination was the Manager Sophia and somollier/does everything Brian. They were open to their fans and paid the meals perfectly with the wine. Their passion for the food, wine, and the business were truly evident. They went above and beyond.
