This was my second visit to Cafe Caspian during my time in Houston, and just like my visit about two years ago, the food and service were amazing. It looks like they’ve added a new bakery inside the restaurant called Saffron Bakery, which was a really nice addition and definitely worth trying. The bread, cheese, and herbs were fresh and very tasty. I ordered the tahdig with gheymeh and fesenjan, and the portion was huge and absolutely delicious. Had a really nice experience at Cafe Caspian. The menu has tons of options, so there’s something for everyone. Everything we tried from appetizers, kabob, and stew was delicious and the service was great — the staff were great which made the experience even better😊 I also loved the decor and atmosphere, it really feels very Persian and cozy. 🧿 One of my favorite parts was that they bring complimentary freshly baked naan and feta cheese to start your meal. 🫓🧀 The bread is made fresh right in the restaurant and it tastes amazing! Such a lovely restaurant. Great vibe and great customer service. Kebabs were juicy and tender though lacking a bit of flavor. Eggplant dip was delicious but very heavy on the mint. The breading was spectacular!! Even better is watching her make it. The fried patty appetizer was lacking flavor and super greasy. Not my favorite. Would totally go back as the menu is so big. So much to try!!

Today, my friends and I went out to eat, and the food was absolutely terrible. The meat was dry—it even had hair in it!—and completely burnt. Even the soup wasn't good, and the salads were lackluster. Honestly, none of the food tasted good at all. We paid a premium price, but the quality just wasn't there; the rice lacked flavor and salt, and the meat tasted stale and burnt. Honestly, this is the last time I’ll go there to get food. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else go there either—the food is ridiculously expensive.
