This is a good cheap Chinese food place. Food is made fresh throughout the night. Flavors are nice. :) I enjoy the sweet and sour chicken texture quite a bit. $11 for a 3 item combo is a good deal too.

I wonder how much styrofoam I just ate. Those holes are where the freshly fried sweet and sour chicken were placed - didn't notice until I had enough of this "food". As a fan of salting food to enhance flavor, two of my dishes were at least 50% over salted. The egg drop soup tastes of salt and chicken bouillon, is pretty light on egg whites, and has to be colored beyond the bouillon. The garlic mushroom chicken had me thinking I might go back for it, until my mouth couldn't take the heavy salt before I even finished. our family has been going here for years. most of the quality is still pretty okay. not perfect, just okay. the chicken however, it seems like the quality has decreased. like some of the chicken pieces are hard as a rock and other pieces are like really soft and mushy, like mashed potatoes. but their other food is pretty okay. the rice is one of my favorites and so is the egg drop soup. the people there are pretty nice. and they get your food out to you somewhat quickly. it just depends on how busy they are at the moment. but overall like ive said a lot the food and atmosphere there is pretty

Been eating at Whistle Wok for over a year now. When I first walked into the place, I was surprised on how clean and beautifully-kept the restaurant was. That's a good sign. Kitchen is probably clean too, then. In looking at the various entrees through the glass partition, ALL the Asian employees (owners? family?) were very dutiful and kind. You know what they say: "love" is the secret ingredient. If the family that owns the place have good hearts, the food is likely to be prepared with love as well (and be good). Unlike places where they hate the Americans, or even Americanized fast
