Used to love sonic. I’ve had some good experiences during the afternoons. However, I just visited the Ankeny Sonic this evening and had the worst experience. I am pregnant and requested a double sonic smasher cheeseburger to ensure my patties were fully cooked through. I get home only to realize my patties were not smashed and were not cooked through in the middle of the top patty especially…The burger was also made so sloppily with ingredients I asked to be removed present on the sloppy pile of condiments and uncooked patty. I had to put the burger back together myself. The service itself was

Well done guys. Did y'all take turns sitting on the bun before you ham fistedly slapped it on top of my burger? Must of been so funny you forgot to throw any toppings on it too? Wow. This is just all around terrible and an objectively bad look for the franchise.

We were told there was only 2 people working. The lady was absolutely rude. If they can't handle the rush with 2, start scheduling more. This isn't the first store I've had this problem. Was told that they couldn't handle our crowd. At least the other store was kind about it. I love sonic but I just know I wont be back to that store. There was 9 of us in 2 cars. They lost alot of money that day. Of course we left.

i got a burger and they added mayo even tho i said no mayo please. then i got the next burger to make it better (had to pay for it again) and i realized they added a pickle and a JALAPEÑO!!? make it make sense. i ordered a burger with ketchup and onions. how do you get a jalapeño out of that.
