We had a wonderful morning at Java Jive. We got breakfast pastries, coffee, and iced tea and spent a few hours working. It did get a bit noisy with a few groups meeting and talking, but that is not abnormal for coffee shops. It is relatively small, with small tables for 2 people and a single round table that seats up to 4. The coffee and pastry was good, and they have art for sale on the walls.

Cozy spot with indoor and outdoor seating that’s perfect for sipping, working, or just relaxing in nature. The coffee menu has something for everyone - smooth drip, bold cold brews, and creative lattes. My cappuccino with coconut milk was perfectly balanced and delicious. Bonus: they sell coffee beans and fun merch, so you can take the vibe home. Friendly, inviting, and totally worth a visit. Can’t wait to stop by and grab coffee soon! Update - Came back again! I really wanted to like Java and Jive, and I’m honestly not someone who leaves bad reviews. I always try to give grace. But this experience was so frustrating I can’t stay quiet about it. I ordered three drinks: a strawberry milk tea, a mango milk tea, and a matcha latte, all with brown sugar boba. Not complicated. The cashier could not seem to grasp the order. I was asked to repeat it multiple times, and even after all of that, every single drink came out wrong, I comply gave up on the match latte and told her I’ll just forget about that (a drink I paid for). Came here for an afternoon pick me up. Small little coffee shop in lochmere. They have a large selection, but the prices are quite high for the quality of what you receive. I ordered a Frappuccino and it took them nearly 10 minutes to make it. Were not slammed and had 2 people making drinks.
