I was initally a hater because of the prices. I had just moved into the area and thought bomba was too rich for me. But after ordering their coffee and a nice chat with their owner Hector, I decided to give the food a shot and im glad I did. The coffee was really good. The portion sizes are huge here. Once the food came out I understood why the prices were what they were. If you have 2 people who aren't heavy eaters you could easily share an entree and coffees and be good to go. Adorable corner cafe in the heart of downtown. Both service and food was excellent. We saw portion sizes are large on google and so split the breakfast arepa for a lighter lunch. It was super tasty! The plantains were amazing and the cheese stuffed arepa was excellent. Our server was delightful and the right level of attentive without hovering. Would absolutely recommend.

Visited Café Bomba during the Christmas weekend and had a lovely breakfast experience. The outdoor seating was pleasant, especially on a sunny day, and they kindly accommodated our dog. The food was truly excellent — very tasty, fresh, and well-balanced. The breakfast options were thoughtfully put together: everything was sufficient and complemented each other nicely. Portion sizes were generous enough for one adult to feel full. On the downside, there were quite a lot of flies on the small terrace, and the tables felt crammed together — there just wasn’t much space to sit comfortably. The service was mediocre. Still, the food alone deserves a solid thumbs-up.
