Verse is for sure a jewel in this nice neighborhood, offering a clean environment and cozy vibe. However, the menu and queue line experience could use enhancements. Menu items are too mixed together, and the graphic design makes it hard to understand your options, which contributed to a long wait since there’s no way to preview the menu at the entrance. Food-wise, I recommend the Egg Sando and Hojicha latte — the Matcha was alright but not distinctive. Also, the rear bar area felt like a waste; I’m not sure why that deliberate design was chosen.

for my coffee lovers: osmanthus honey latte for my matcha lovers: strawberry matcha or einspiener matcha! seating with wifi and outlets but people tend to camp out here… and drink one drink for like 6 hours lol. if you’re going to camp out, respect proper cafe culture by buying a pastry or nother drink every 2 hours to support the business— even if this place is swarmed with people from tiktok and are doing quite well. very hospitable folks here + cozy ambiance! love their everything cheddar roll warmed up!

📍Verse has been rated the top spot for matcha in nyc. and for me, it does live up to the hype~ matcha is whisked on the spot for each order 🍵 they do not do 2-3 servings at a time. i tried ✨strawberry matcha latte with soy milk ($7.75). the matcha is truly the best, with strong nutty taste and not overwhelmed by milk. strawberry puree is also not too sweet 🫶🏻 their menu options are endless. i would need to try einspanner and their coffee menu there are plenty of seats, both at the bar and table. they have wifi and restroom. so this is another perfect spot to get work done.

The hype is real. This might be one of my favorite matcha shops in the city. They use high quality Ippodo matches. The matcha einspanner is so beautifully executed. Banana cake is not too sweet. The ambience speaks just the right vibe to the subdued creativity and excellence of this place.
