⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) My girlfriend and I recently visited Justine’s for a date night, and overall we had a great experience. The atmosphere is charming, romantic, and has a unique East Austin vibe that makes it a perfect spot for a night out. We both ordered the Steak Frites. She chose the herb sauce, while I went with the sauce au poivre. The steaks were cooked well, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of the meal. I also enjoyed a glass of the Dacite Chilled Red Wine, which paired nicely with dinner. Service was attentive, and the ambiance alone makes this place worth visiting. While the meal wasn’t quite a perfect 10/10 for me, it was still very enjoyable. I’d give the steak an 8/10 and would absolutely return to try more items from the menu. A great spot for date night, good food, and a memorable dining experience. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in East Austin. 🍷🥩✨

Pretty cool experience tucked away, kind of hidden. The porch area in the winter time (when we went) was pretty cool and felt like some combination between a wedding reception, traveling circus, and a speakeasy. Food was pretty good, tables are pretty small and the dishes were big so get ready to play Tetris.

TLDR: Great for apps and drinks, not for mains. Service and seating left a lot to be desired — but there's enough here to give it another shot. Visited 3/5/26 @ 8:30pm — reservation made a week in advance with a birthday note in the booking. They seated us directly in front of the hallway to the bathrooms and kitchen. Music blasting right above us. Our server had no idea we were celebrating anything. Not a great start. The lump crab salad was a miss. Mostly thinly sliced cucumbers with scattered dollops of crab hiding in the crevices — my friend described it as cucumbers with tajin. Mint added freshness but it's not worth the price. The tuna tartare was good, slightly over sauced. The octopus was nicely cooked but there were only two small tentacles on the plate. Escargots were overcooked and tough, but garlic butter saves everything. The mains were where it fell apart. One of the most intimate dinner settings in Austin with great food to match. Oysters we're sadly the only thing that didnt stand out much to us but the crudo more than made up for it. Might be the best crudo I've ever had. Steak frites was solid and perfectly cooked 👌 Definitely swing by for a romantic dinner. 😊

Justine’s was literally so freaking amazing. I got a little caviar bump when we got there and that alone set the tone. I really love the vibe in the back room with the zebra print booths, everything feels so intentional and just immaculate. Come here for a chill night, good conversation, and really delicious food.

Boy howdy. Bad mixed with bad followed by bad. Highlight was the service. Ordered the demi-baguette (served cold) with the whipped butter. Bread and butter were both separate charges (clearly labeled on the menu, so that's on us), with the whipped butter being significantly warmer than the bread. French onion soup ($18) was abysmal. Served in an old school brown ceramic crock, 2/3 full, with 3 baguette style croutons over the top, topped with cheese and obviously forgotten under the salamander as the cheese was burnt to a crisp, acrid and bitter. Split the duck confit, pictured. Potatoes undercooked, crunchy in a bad way. Duck was somehow both dry/overcooked with the skin rubbery and underdone. Truly disappointing.
