Peony Kitchen is one of my favorite lunch spots in Bellevue. We stopped in for lunch today and had another great experience. The restaurant wasn’t too busy, the service was fast and friendly, and the food was excellent as always. I had high expectations for Peony Kitchen in Bellevue, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing. The Peking Duck was noticeably too dry, lacking the juiciness and richness that this dish is known for. The Rib Eye Steak Fried Rice was another letdown — the rib eye was completely overcooked, making it tough and chewy, which took away from the overall dish. The flavors had potential, but the execution really missed the mark this time. I hope the kitchen can improve consistency and cooking quality.

I definitely liked their menu selection which includes interesting dimsum, rice (squid ink for example), noodle, seafood, to whole duck dishes.
