- torch your protein! - We usually order takeout from fob poke, but we wanted to try this place today. They don't have that many different toppings or varieties as fob poke, like they don't have the spicy crab salad or tamagoyaki (egg). The dressing seems less as well, but they do have some different toppings such as the tangerines which my hubby doesn't care much. I think it's nice but doesn't blend well with the rest of the poke bowl. You can ask them to torch the protein too, which was actually fun to watch. I also like seared fish more as well. This place is always clean and the employees are very attentive when I come in to order. The ingredients always taste fresh and for a place that serves avocado, I appreciate that they seem to switch it out often as it isn't ever brown. In addition when I order to go, my food is always well packaged and made super quick!

Not sure if it was because they were closing within the hour, but my $50 (2) meal with drink and sides, was not worth that much. I got a rice bowl, tofu, some veggies, aoli and krab salad! It was pretty flavourless and all I could taste was cold and the sauce. At my old spots, in Pennsylvania and Georgia, the rice was served warm and the bowl packed tons of flavor! This franchise serves rice cold (I assume) which is Not Good. With 0 flavor. Or we were close to closing time and they already put the rice away and we're just serving it cooled? But I doubt that. I think it's just served cold. I
