Tried CAVA for the first time today and honestly, I get the hype now. I walked in with zero idea what I was doing. I even asked if I was supposed to pretend I was at Chipotle and build my bowl like that. The staff laughed with me, not at me, and really guided us through everything. They let us taste different meats, explained all the options, and the portions were very generous. They kept up with my humor the whole time and were super respectful, which I really appreciated. Cava is decent for a quick healthy lunch and I like that you can customize everything, but consistency really depends on the location and who’s working that day. Sometimes the bowls are great and full, other times portions feel pretty small for the price. Ingredients are usually fresh but a few items tasted like they had been sitting a while during my last visit. Not bad overall, just wish the experience was more consistent because the concept itself is actually good.
