Persimmon has been my "go to" restaurant in Bethesda for dinner for quite awhile. Now that they have added Happy Hour from 4:30 to 6:30, my friends and I are there even more often. The food is always excellent. Service is fast and friendly. The HH menu has a bit of everything, seafood, veggies etc. All top rate. Highly recommend.

Solid wedge and fried oysters. Mushroom risotto was on point. Shrimp and scallops Linguine was great but somehow the acid from the lemon was on the bottom of the plate and not really incorporated into the dish. The short ribs were unfortunately dry. Solid service and wonderful staff.

Perfect spot for spending time with my grandson! He had a burger and fries and I had the seared duck with arugula & diced sweet potatoes, and a side of brussel sprouts. Presentation, taste, and quantity was just enough. Will visit again work in MD. Yes, I recommend.

I rarely write negative reviews about food, but I felt I had to share my experience at this place. The servers were wonderful and very attentive, but unfortunately the food was some of the worst I’ve had in all my travels. My husband ordered the lobster soup, which tasted exactly like canned tomato soup, no sign of lobster... I had the lobster roll, which was unpleasant at best, served with overly oily fries. Sadly, I can’t recommend this restaurant. I do hope the food improves, because the staff truly deserves better.
