Zander★Let’s talk about the Pump Station Cafe in Boalsburg. If you’re looking to drop $49 on breakfast and coffee for two, only to be treated to a masterclass in forgetfulness, look no further. We ordered our food and coffee together. The food arrived. The iced coffee? Missing in action. We sat there staring at our meals for a solid 10 minutes, dehydrating, waiting for a basic coffee order to materialize. For nearly 50 bucks, I generally expect my food and beverage to be in the same zip code at the same time. The prices here are absolutely outrageous for what you get. Honestly, the food isn't the onl
Sarah★★★★★Pump Station is always delicious! I love their Power Train sandwich on rye bread, the flavors are soo good together!! Love their side options. The macaroni salad is always delicious! Chocolate chip cookies are so good. They give a really decent amount of food for the price I can easily split my sandwich and Mac salad with another person. Love the seasonal drink changes. Ask for a punch card! Buy 10 sandwiches get one free! Would highly recommend!!
Joel Orlando★★Initial thoughts on this place upon walking in is its charming. As I continued to wait 15-20 minutes to order while only 5 people were infront of me, I found it impossible to move around in this place. It’s super small and people just cram in. The atmosphere is all over the place and the ability to have personal space is absolutely minimal. The cashier didn’t offer to toast my fresh pastry, my espresso was lacking, the sandwich was good, but can find better and cheaper nearby. the prices are out of this world. Probably the most expensive breakfast I’ve ever had. This place is severely anxiety
Mike Mc★★★★This is a very cool spot for a cafe: an old 1940s era gas station, complete with the old Gulf sign on display inside. They have great homemade baked goods and coffee made from local vendors which looked really good (didn’t get to try it though). But we were there for the coffee and cappuccino’s. It was really good, and I’d probably have given it 5-stars if it didn’t find coffee grounds in my regular coffee. My wife’s cappuccino was great from what I was told. It’s a great location right off Rt. 322 in Boalsburg just east of downtown State College. Service was really pleasant. They have a smal
