This is an amazing place for a couple of drinks and snacks. I have not had an entree here but ordered the empanaditas, not the biggest fan of them as I was expecting something with a bit more of colombia influence and received the total opposite. Otherwise the drinks are amazing and the bartenders are always friendly. The ambiance and decor are my favorite.

I had a lot of fun. I ordered the caesar salad, amongst other things. It’s served with a spoon, which makes you go “Hm what is the spoon for?” It made for a fun little challenge at first (granted, I grazed and took about 2 hours to finish my meal) but once you get the hang of it, it’s like oh wow. Dressing was the standout; unique and memorable. Definitely one of the most interesting Caesar salads I’ve had. I had fun

I’ve lived in Brooklyn for decades and only just heard of Maite through a feature in the Colombiana cookbook. My father is from Cali, Colombia and so I’ve had my fair share of empananadas and arepas, but nothing compares to chef Ella Schmidt’s incredible creations! I’ve never had such crispy empanadas with such a thin and delectable shell. Looking forward to coming back and trying more things on the menu and chatting with the warm and knowledgeable wait staff.
