Im so excited this place reopened again. They closed it for permits of construction. I, and my friends have tried all of the Afghan restaurants within these months in Sacramento none of them were authentic, fresh as LAPIS GRILL. Recently, we came here again and tried the Uzbek palaw and chapli kabab. It was amazingly fresh, delicious, and real as original. The best kebab and Uzbek Palav. The best customer service. Best price for the portions. The food is very fresh and cooks daily. I recommend this place for those who really care about the freshness and taste of the food. Thanks, Lapis Grill.

The chicken kabob is the best in town and probably the best I’ve eaten. Well seasoned, moist and flavorful. It’s made with thigh meat so it’s not dry and overcooked like breast meat can be. The side sauce it comes with is so good too. My husband loves everything they make. Seems family operated and staff are friendly.

Crazy mixed feelings walking into this restaurant. Feelings as if we traveled to a different country. Not much of an atmosphere or ambiance. Very limited menu with a handful of Uzbek/afghan dishes. Service was inviting and friendly. Complimentary hot tea was Delightful. Food was amazing. Large portions and affordable. I would order take out next time. I understand sometimes dressing up a family owed business can be costly....I truly recommend it for this restaurant. It will pay back.
