M Miller★★★★★Really delicious sushi and a delightful cooked menu for the less adventurous who still want authenticity like don Katsu, chicken teriyaki and udon dishes. Warm sake is mandatory. Limited seating so expect a wait but worth it…kind of like Tokyo! Great ingredients, service and value. A must do.
Indigo Sterud★★★★This place serves amazing sushi. Easily the best volcano roll i’ve ever had, the crunch munch and the willis tower are also sooo delicious and flavorful. The noodles were okay, but they were missing something. Great spot and worth a visit- sometimes it gets packed though and you’ll have to wait. We waited a little over an hour for a party of 5.
Will Mroz★★★★★Amazing Experience Everytime. The service is top notch Everytime alongside with the elevated dining experience. The food is the best in the Champaign Urbana Area. If you are a student and want to try the best sushi you will have come to sakanaya. Had the dynamite roll and the spicy tuna roll and they taste so fresh and are perfect. Pairing it with the spicy tuna crispy rice is a great duo. Recommend this place highly
Anonymous Poster★★★Overall the food was decent but didn’t wow me, would definitely recommend sticking to the sushi side of the menu as my beef udon was kind of meh . Service and atmosphere were great and would definitely reccomend coming during the summer when campus town is less busy.
