Where do I even start… my (Puerto Rican) parents had been raving about this place for a long time. So of course my expectations were high but they were COMPLETELY met. The food made me utterly speechless, I got extremely emotional because it reminded me of my Abuela’s cooking as a child. This place just made me feel like a little kid and reminded me of my childhood. No food has ever made me feel this way. This place is the BEST Puerto Rican food I’ve ever had in my entire life. Wanda’s Mofongo House – “I came. I waited. I left confused and hungry.” Let me start by saying: I wanted to love this place. I really did. I walked up with hope in my heart and left with a to-go box of disappointment and a confused wallet. Wanda’s has a menu the size of the Dead Sea Scrolls. I’m not sure if I ordered lunch or enrolled in culinary college. If you go here, bring a compass, a tour guide, and maybe a translator because the menu has EVERYTHING… and that might be the problem.
