Rob Huey★★★Reviewing as a restaurant - I’d describe this as an expensive kid’s menu that also sells beer. The food was marginal at best. Reviewing as a bar - I’d describe this as an iconic local joint that you’d need to see if you’re in town. We were in town for a wedding and this is the place the youngsters getting married wanted to hang out with their friends. We had a great time but in retrospect we would have eaten before we came and just drank and hung out.
Bronwyn Beatty-Hansen★★★★Great service from the bartender and food window. Definitely a college town bar, charming wood decor with real saloon doors! Worth checking out on a visit to College Station!
Nicholas Stevenson★★★★This is a College Station staple. The vibe is dive bar with a whole lot of Aggie Spirit Located towards the Northwest end of Northgate, this is the perfect game day or pre-tailgating bar. You can sit inside in one of two main areas or on the patio out front and there’s seating out back The servers are friendly and professional. The food and drinks are solid. Nothing overly fancy, but it’ll hit the spot. There’s a couple bars to order from, and you can order food towards the back of the bar

If you want a proper cheeseburger, go in the back door, not the front (saloon) doors. If it's gameday, go an hour or two before the game. Order your food at the counter, then proceed out of that room to the back bar. Order a shiner bock to accompany your cheeseburger. Proceed to the back by the pool tables and say hi to the rattlesnake in the far back. Around that time, someone will be calling your name for food. If yo
