The food and atmosphere were great! Hawra was really kind and helpful welcoming us in and explaining the menu. We’re not new to Iraqi cuisine but needed a refresher. I’d recommend the masgoof (carp seasoned with spices, then fried until it’s juicy and tender) which is a star dish in Iraqi culture. The maqlouba is also excellent. We ordered baba ghanouj (smoked eggplant with olive oil and spices) for our starter and it came with hot and fresh Iraqi bread. Don’t overlook this restaurant if you’re passing through Dearborn/Detroit area!

Mavis Kramer★★★★★

The hummus with meat was utterly delicious, especially with the sesame flat bread. The maqluba with lamb was an excellent entree choice. The star for us was the Iraqi coffee. Our first time here, but will definitely come again.

We had the pleasure of trying Iraqi food here for the first time and everything was delicious. The Kabsa chicken was incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. The fattoush was fresh with a great balance of flavors. The warm baked bread was honestly one of my favorite parts. The portions were also very generous. The waitresses were kind and helpful! They offered to take time to explain the menu and offered extra plates so we could easily share. You can tell everything is made with care and authenticity. The atmosphere was welcoming. We’ll definitely be coming back to try more. Highly recomme

Everything was amazing at Darbunaa! We tried the chicken and lamb khabsa, and both were outstanding. The rice was perfectly seasoned and very flavorful. The chicken was tender and nicely grilled, and the lamb was incredibly soft and juicy, full of rich flavor. Portions were generous, and the sides and sauces complemented the meal really well. The atmosphere and service were also great. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Dearborn — definitely coming back!
