Fun vibe and spacious seating with interesting antiques and turn of cent space with lots of natural light. Unfortunately, though, the breakfast sandwiches we had were cold and bland and seemed mass produced. Staff was nice, but they were a lot of dirty tables that hadn’t been bussed for hours even though there were enough staff members to take care of the problem.

Stopped at Smokey Row Coffee Cafe on our way out of town. It’s a large, welcoming space with tons of drink options and plenty of seating — great for studying or hanging out. We had breakfast along with coffee and a chai tea. The food came out hot and fresh, though it’s more of a basic breakfast style (our sandwiches didn’t have any sauce). The chai is made with powder, which isn’t my favorite, but the overall experience was pleasant and the staff was friendly.

We're on our way home back to Nebraska, so we need a pick-up coffee. Checked out on map what's the best coffee in Des Moines, and this is the one that's open and has the best. Service was awesome, he helped us with our orders during our drive-thru. He gave some recommendations for different kinds of drink categories. Me and my hubby ordered shaken espresso and pistachio latte, and my kids got their signature smokey row shake, and tornado shake. We all loved it. It's not so sweet, blended perfectly!
