A night to remember!! We went to celebrate my first cousin's graduation from medical school – and this place is as high caliber as the degree itself. We sat in a private room, and our host was incredibly knowledgeable and super friendly. He answered all of our questions and recommended the best plates. The food was phenomenal, from appetizer to dinner – the meat was cooked exactly the way everyone wanted. To end the night, we took a tour of the building after his short but fascinating summary of the place. I will definitely be going back. Highly recommend for any special occasion!

This was my first time here, and have to say it will not be my last. This restaurant is beautiful, classical, and historic. Everyone who helped me and served me were top tier, very helpful knowledgeable and caring. One thing I liked most is that it’s very diverse. But, you better be dressed to impress, otherwise to serves, I wouldn’t let you in either. I never had blue cheese before, so I was given a tester too if I liked it. Burger and fries were phenomenal.

The Whitney holds a very special place in my heart, filled with personal memories that make every visit truly meaningful. The ambiance is absolutely breathtaking, elegant, warm and timeless, making it the perfect setting for unforgettable moments. The food is consistently outstanding, beautifully prepared and full of flavour, and the service is nothing short of exceptional. I’ve done private bookings here, and each time the experience has been flawless, seamless, and incredibly well looked after. The attention to detail and genuine care from the team always stand out. A truly special restaurant that never disappoints and continues to deliver excellence every single time.

Derek was our server and he was so kind and informative! He truly went out of his way to make my birthday at the Whitney a memorable experience. I loved that we were free to wander the mansion and the tea service was both delicious and fun. Andrew at concierge was also kind, friendly, and helpful. I had an amazing experience and will absolutely come back for another visit.

Such a romantic, elegant, inviting and iconic place; perfect for date night! The architecture of this mansion is exquisite and lavish, it was built between 1890 and 1894. The Whitney is 22,000 square feet, with 52 rooms, 20 fireplaces, and 218 windows. We did not dine there, we savoured a drink upstairs at the stunning Ghostbar and toured the mansion with our guide who was knowledgeable, upbeat and hilarious. The staff we interacted with were jovial, polite and professional. We highly enjoyed visiting The Whitney and look forward to visiting again soon!

We had a wonderful evening at The Whitney last night! Dining in such a beautiful historic mansion makes the entire night feel special. The complimentary tour of the house was amazing and gave us the chance to explore the incredible architecture and rooms. We also wandered into the Carriage House afterward which was a little spooky but very cool and peaceful. Our waitress Madelyn took good care of us throughout the evening. One of my favorite touches was the Romance Rose that my date added to the reservation. It was a lovely surprise and really elevated the experience. The live pianist was phenomenal and even played my requested song Skyfall by Adele beautifully. We chose The Whitney specifically because of their Lent menu and it did not disappoint. We started with the Maryland Jumbo Crab Cakes and the Lobster Bisque from the regular menu. For our entrées we ordered the Seafood Alfredo and the Fish & Chips from the Lenten menu. Everything was delicious. We finished the night sharing a s

A really cool dining experience in Detroit. We were invited by some friends for a tea time at the Whitney. First of all, the building is absolutely gorgeous. The valet parking is really nice and the staff are super friendly. The service during the meal was also excellent. They were very attentive, incredibly polite and professional. The atmosphere in the rooms are beautiful. This cannot be understated. The food and treats we had were were pretty okay. Absolutely! Nothing was bad but I wasn't impressed by anything we had either. I would love to come back some time and try the dinner service. A cautious recommendation.
