The Smith was an amazing breakfast spot! The atmosphere was lively, welcoming, and had a great vibe. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The matcha latte was honestly one of the best I’ve had—perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. If you’re a matcha lover, I highly recommend trying it! The food was great. Everyone in our group loved their meals, and everything came out fresh and delicious. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I’m in DC. Highly recommend!

My family and I visited The Smith on a busy Sunday around 5 pm. Thankfully we had reservations, otherwise it may have been a bit of a wait. The atmosphere was lively, and the food was solid across the board. We ordered the calamari, kids cheeseburger, the Smith burger, and the braised short rib mafaldine. Everything was well prepared, with the short rib mafaldine standing out as rich and comforting. A nice touch was the fresh bread service and the option of house still or sparkling water. Absolutely amazing. Hands down the best burger I have ever had. My brother got the Mac and cheese, tastes so good. And pretty affordable. Would 100% recommend if you love Americanized Cuisine, or love food in general, this place I recommend. Also, the service is amazing. Great waiters, our waiter Kevin was so sweet. Really funny too.

We came into the Smith with no reservations and were seated right away for late lunch. The food was excellent most especially the potato chips with blue cheese fondue. Absolutely delicious 😋 We split a French dip and a gem Caesar salad. For dessert, we tried the strawberry pie and it was sooo good. Just a hint of almond in the shortcake crust and delicious strawberry. Excellent casual dining!
