Va Bene is one of my favorite restaurants that I have ever eaten at. I highly recommend making a reservation for the solarium. It is an enclosed seating area with windows all around and a view of downtown Duluth as well as Lake Superior. We began our experience with drinks. They had a variety of options and the drinks were well crafted. For an appetizer, we ordered the meatballs. They were large and full of flavor. The meatballs were saucy and moist. Va Bene is easily some of the best Italian food I’ve had in a long time and about as authentic as you’ll find in the Duluth area. Somehow we were able to get a table the Friday before Grandma's Marathon. Amazing view from the deck outside. I tried the Sicilian pasta and it was fantastic. Focaccia was probably the best I've had aside from what we tried in Bari. Molto bene! Grazie!
