Big Bad Breakfast in Durham was definitely worth the visit. The atmosphere was bustling and energetic the entire time we were there, but the service never skipped a beat. I tried the Creole Omelet and it was absolutely bursting with flavor. Every bite had the perfect balance of savory seasoning without being overwhelming. I also had a cup of decaf coffee that was surprisingly good. Honestly, if the decaf tastes that good, I can only imagine how good the regular coffee is. My friend ordered the Biscuit Crumble and completely fell in love with it. And what really elevated the experience was the customer service. Our server was incredibly sweet, and when she found out it was my friend’s birthday, she brought out a little surprise treat which was a biscuit topped with peach jam, ice cream, whipped cream, and powdered sugar. Such a thoughtful touch and a great example of genuine hospitality. Between the flavorful food, attentive service, and lively atmosphere, I can definitely see why this

The food tastes sooooo FRESH. I had no appetite, time to burn and a friend recommended this restaurant. I got the Avacado toast and it was out of this world. Large portion size and really tasty, fresh and flavorful ingredients. It was so satisfying. I ate this up so fast. It was more food than I could eat in one sitting so I did take half to my partner after leaving who also loved it. The server was friendly, fast and knowledgeable. The noise level was moderate but not overwhelming. I loved the music and decorations. There seemed to be a nice sense of teamwork among servers/ staff which I tend to notice from being a server in the past. The cost was great compared to the large portion. Overall, would recommend and return.

Big Bad Brekky is our go to spot for everything breakfast. From coffee to egg sandwiches, and the best chicken and waffles in the state (possibly the world)? The lovely bartender Ava was very attentive and welcoming, and Hailey gave excellent service. We will return, hungry for more. (Pictured here is a Shrimp and Grits with poached eggs and a side of fries. Highly reccommend).

Food was really good, I ordered the Cathead Chicken Buscuit. It was amazing I added a over medium egg to go on top the egg came out hard but if it was runny I know that would've took the dish over the top! Gravy has big chunks of sausage and it's very flavorful, chicken well marinated and cooked perfectly, overall it was a great meal. I will come back to try different dishes.

The seating area looked great The person who seated us was very friendly and inviting. The server was friendly but left something to be desired for service. They were not busy at the time so that wasnt the issue, she just forgot things and left my drink empty for half the meal. Most of the staff seemed to be younger and some of them seemed more interested in hanging out with each other than helping the customers or making sure things were taken care of. The food was partially burnt and did not taste well. Apparently the people sitting behind us had the same issue because they were complaining and sending food back. The mens restroom was disgusting. It looked like it hasnt been cleaned in a very long time and it smelled the same, included pictures for reference (notice the toilet brush and holder) The "fresh" biscuits were hard and were more likely not fresh at all. I doubt that I will be returning to this place. We had high hopes that we may had found a great new place for breakfast bu

I came to town for the Chris Brown concert, and before heading out, my friend and I wanted a good breakfast to wrap up the trip. After checking with the hotel front desk, we decided to try this spot -- and it did not disappoint. It was surprisingly busy for a Wednesday morning, but the service was still great. Our waitress was super polite and even gave us some helpful recommendations. The food was incredibly filling and downright comforting -- the kind of meal that makes you want to take a nap afterward because it's that good. I'll definitely be back anytime I'm in the area!

I have been to this establishment numerous times, I gave a great review before, I had to delete it because of inconsistency. The waiter and bartender did not know what an Irish coffee was. They gave me cold coffee. The simple breakfast platter came with burned bacon, It looked dead, dry and unedible. I asked for overmedium eggs. I got overcooked eggs. The biscuit was hard. It's disappointing. The manager was polite and apologized for the new bartender, she acknowledged and said that it does not look like an Irish coffee. The manager stated that the staff was overwhelmed and busy. I was not charged for the meal however, I was hungry and upset and did not care to ask for anything else. I will not return. So much for Big Bad Breakfast!
