This is the sushi place I come to most often. Probably every two weeks. Their fish quality is amazing. We recently tried the sashimi. The yellowtail was exceptional, which is not something I can save for a lot of restaurants. I prefer the rolls that don’t have any sauce or very little sauce. The chicken karage is very battered and fried so we always order it before we even sit down.

My kid adores sushi, and this was her 16 birthday dinner with us and we gave her multiple options but the second she heard flaming sushi she was all about this place. The place had a very tidy and cute interior, black and wood plenty of lighting think Minimalist styles. Service was great to begin with, very attentive and patient while we made our choices. We ordered the Black Cod, which for me under delivered, I expected more punch from the miso glaze and perhaps a larger piece of fish. Kuro Sushi is in a strip mall next to a CVS in the Eastgate area of Bellevue. A simple location means the diners get a bigger bang for their buck. The online food photos certainly showed promise, so naturally, we went. The restaurant is roomy and well-maintained. While they have some insta/tik-tok gimmicky options (served with fire), the nigiri photos caught my attention. It is all about the fish quality. The kitchen items were perfectly cooked. Enjoy the vibe and food at this place, nevertheless, the service is a bit slow and the table I had very greasy. I love the fried soft shell crabs very tender and juicy flawless; both sushi rolls (dragon roll) and bluefin sampler shiromi sampler nigiri are all very fresh! Beautiful presentation as well!
