Tim Baxter★★★★★Cool place to grab a bite! (See what I did there...Cool, Lake Effect) But it really is a unique spot. The authentic 1952 diner was rescued in Pennsylvania and brought to Buffalo in the early 2000's. I had the Meat Lovers Omelete which was absolutely delicious, complete with generous portions of egg, choice of cheese, ham, sausage, bacon, home fries and toast. Always ready for a food challenge, I finished it all, but barely. I was super full. The booths were clean, the counter nostalgic with the iconic stools. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Very enjoyable visit to the Lake Effect Dine
Jagrit Sharma★★★★★I've been wanting to try this place for a while now. I have read so much about this place on Google Maps, r/Buffalo, and by just casually browsing the internet. I know a lot of things have probably changed with this place since then, but I just really wanted to go to a casual diner for once. I went alone. It's usually hard being a vegetarian since you don't get many options around here (unless you spend a pretty buck, I guess?), but I went with my standard vegetarian choice - coffee, cream cheese bagel, a
Grace Romig★★★★This classic diner was featured on Diner's, Drive-ins, & Dives. "Guy's Favorite" was very good; eggs, home fries, and delicious ham that comes with a unique, savory gravy. The breakfast entrees are a bit pricey, but the quality is there.
MICHELE HESSION-BYKOWICZ★★★★This is our first time at lake effect diner we've wanted to go for so many years and just one of those things that we didn't get a chance to. Being a Sunday I didn't know if it would be crazy busy but luckily it wasn't as we were surprising my 27-year-old son for his birthday. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I missed her name so I feel terrible but from what I could see everybody seemed really happy with their servers. It's such a nostalgic step back to be in an actual real old style diner I saw them when I was a little kid so it really was cool to be inside. Not a ton of seeding
