I was very disappointed in the quality of food at the Applebees on the Vestal Parkway. I asked for a raspberry lemonade with no ice, and a trio of appetizers. This included BBQ boneless wings, chicken quesadillas with NO PICO (hot things make me sick), and wonton tacos. What I got was a strawberry lemonade loaded with ice, chicken quesadillas WITH PICO, and boneless wings that were soaked in so much BBQ sauce that I couldn’t taste the chicken and the coating was soggy. Great service. Crew was very professional. We watched one table try to manipulate their waitress, trying to get a free upgrade on a meal, questioned the prices when everything ordered was clearly priced on the menu and then they tried to say she punched in the wrong order when she confirmed their order with them and they replied yes. Not once did she allow them to rile her. She just calmly pulled out her tablet and showed the order as it was ordered and compared it back to the menu which they confirmed the order from the menu. Haven’t been to Applebee’s in a while and glad we stopped in. Our bartender, Peter, was absolutely fantastic —accommodating and attentive. Menu at Applebee’s offers a good selection. Peter was able to make substitutions due to food allergies. Great late night dinner!
