We’ve been coming here for years, and I’m finally decided to write a review. The food has always been the reason we return. Everything is consistently well-seasoned, satisfying, and reliably good every visit. I was craving for Korean street food but would like to stay away from the usual Korean AYCE bbq, so my husband found this place that serves mostly tapas style food. The place was cozy, there were also booth seats and an enclosed pato, nice place to have a drink with your date or with friends. Since it was a Monday afternoon, it was not busy. We were seated immediately and given side dishes including rice. There was also a container of iced barley water on our table. We had a very disappointing experience here. First, the food quality was unacceptable. The tofu tasted spoiled and sour, which is a serious food safety concern. Second, the service was extremely poor. We were a table of 5, but the staff barely checked on us throughout the meal. What made it worse is that a 20% service charge was added automatically. For this level of service, that feels completely unjustified. Overall, bad food, poor service, and forced gratuity. I would not recommend this place.

GREAT Korean vibes at Soyo Korean Barstaurant. We LOVED the pan fried dumplings, short rib soup, Bohae black raspberry wine, and the Korean wine! Service was great and all of the sides brought to the table like kimchi, macaroni salad, cucumber salad, and so much more were all an added touch and super yummy! They opened in 2010 and they are in the southwest side of town, stop by and give them a try!
