Stephanie (The Scentarian)★★★I visited Morning Glory Cafe for the first time recently and, unfortunately, it was a mixed experience that left me giving it 3 stars. I really wanted to enjoy it, especially since I appreciate restaurants that offer healthier options, but a few things made the visit less than impressive. I ordered a matcha drink, and right away there was an issue the cup had someone else’s lipstick on it. That was honestly pretty unsettling and not the best first impression for a new customer. Cleanliness is one of the first things people notice when dining out, so it definitely threw me off. I will say, how
Sophi Richman Fletcher★★★★★Second time here. Difficult to choose because it all sounds good. I love being able to get a tofu dish that I didn't fix myself. This also gives me ideas to try at home. Last time, I found the bakery items too sweet for my taste. Today I had a slice of banana bread with my entree (vs a roll or biscuit). They served it toasted with vegan butter-- it was amazing!! My friend had their unique version of an omelet that uses hash brown potatoes, and loved her dill roll with vegan butter.
Cade Williamson★The biscuits and gravy were embarrassing. Lentil burger was good according to my mom. The server yelled at us. I don't know why everyone around us were so joyous in such a sorry excuse for a food establishment, but the atmosphere was decent nonetheless. Don't go here unless you're the most vegan of vegans, or if you like wasting your time and money. Or just order the lentil tomaternater.
Mari Kim★★★★★So charming. By the train station. And every item in the pastry case is vegan. Had the three something omelette with pico and vegan butter bc craving green chile and it was delicious, loaded with seasoned potatoes and a side of sourdough toast. Wish I had asked for salsa or more pico. Ordered ahead bc I had a meeting and it was ready for pick up when I got there. Also didn't resist the pumpkin bread calling to me from the case. It was satisfyingly moist and so flavorful. Could it be anymore perfect? I think not.
